- Hamiltonian dynamics, symplectic geometry, low-dimensional topology
- Braid groups, mapping class groups and transformation groups of smooth manifolds: quasi-isometries, quasi-morphisms, cohomology, quasi-norms
- Geometric group theory: quasi-isometric embeddings of finitely generated groups, bi-invariant word metrics
